Swoon’s crew in Haiti

Yall know about the Swimming Cities of Serenissima?

Well if not, then here. Swoon, lead artist on this and other art-world-changing projects, worked with friends of Cacophony and oddly-insipired bohemes to build boats out of junk and … actually take them down rivers.

It’s a way longer story than that. Swoon, a.k.a. Callie Curry, has since won over crowds with her TED talk and has been wheat-pasting empowering images of women in unlikely places, changing — this writer would say positively feminizing — street art at the turn of this century.

And now… Swoon’s First Community Center has been inaugurated in Haiti. Go Swoon and crew! Yip yip.
